“Paradise now – Tales of Modernity” “Παράδεισος τώρα - Ιστορίες Μοντερνισμού”

“Paradise now- Tales of modernity” is also a way to question the model of the contemporary artist. Babis Pilarinos paints churches walls in a Byzantine style, works his own art in the background of his knowledge of the icon history, and mixes traditional landscapes with contemporary elements such as internet, buildings, mobile phones and images of his childhood. (Marie Deparis, 2009)

Babis Pilarinos, through his Art is questionning crossroads between tradition and modernity, reality and what we should call paradise nowadays.

The project involves writers and includes exhibitions in France (Paris, Strasbourg) and in Greece (Athens, Crete), as well a fairy tales book / Art catalogue in French and in Greek .

Ο Μπάμπης Πυλαρινός με την ζωγραφική του θέτει το ερώτημα της συνάντησης της παράδοσης και του μοντέρνου, της ωμής πραγματικότητας και οτι θα μπορούσαμε να πούμε ως εμπειρία παραδείσoυ σήμερα.
